Meet Gamera, a tortoise in a similar situation… The 12-year-old, African spur-thighed tortoise recently had its left front leg amputated at Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

The tortoise was relinquished by its owner on April 20 because the animal’s leg had suffered a severe thermal injury and tissue damage from an unknown source.

Instead of using silly putty and a set of Hot Wheels, vets attached a swivelling wheel to his shell. The swivelling wheel which looks like it came off of an office chair was attached by an epoxy adhesive so no drilling into the shell was needed.

Now if we can only get him to smile!

Now you can ride your scooter straight from your garage at home, right into the deep blue ocean at the beach. As the scooter enters the water, the wheels and the front tire hub are contracted in relation to the depth of the water. The front wheel steering is then converted to an internal propeller system.

The JetCycle features a unique user interface by which the power level, water depth and any internal problems with the vehicle are displayed on a screen.

Unfortunately the colors leave something to be desired, come on ‘Hot Pink’ and ‘Lime Green’ – no thanks.

Tzivka, a <del>turtle</del> tortoise living in Israel was paralyzed in her rear legs when a run-away lawn mower caused severe damage to her shell and spinal cord a couple of months ago.

Caring veterinarians at the Ramat Gan Safari near Tel Aviv gave this paraplegic reptile a second shot at life after fitting Tzivka with a pair of Hot Wheels on Wednesday, MSNBC reported. The wheels were attached with what appears to be a form of putty in front of her hind legs, and were elevated to keep her shell from being worn down.

She is now the hottest chick on the block… nothing better than a pretty girl, with an infectious smile and a hot pair of wheels. Seriously look at her pearly whites, such a simple idea can make a world of difference.
