I am not sure what everybody did before Kinect came out, but since then, hackers have been like kids in a candy store, with the onslaught of Kinect hacks.

Here is another one; however, this is the ultimate cool Kinect hack. Remember the cool camouflage effect that the Predator did to sneak up on you so he could chop of you head?

Built with OpenFrameworks, a widely-used open-source coding toolkit, Takayuki Fukatsu creates the same effect, in fact it looks so good, it could have been used in the original movie.

Fukatsu is kind of sketchy on how he does it, however, he did say that he uses a filter that removes his body from the frame and replaces it with the image behind it, taken beforehand.

All of this is done in real time, with no need to worry about light radiation or cancer causing agents.

The implications for this effect could be huge to the gaming world, just think about how cool it would be to use this on Sam Fisher for the next Splinter Cell game.
