<p>I always root for the underdog, but these guys clearly don’t need any help. The Atlantic has a <a href="http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/06/diy-weapons-of-the-libyan-rebels/100086/" target="_blank">&#8220;big picture&#8221; photo gallery</a> with images of the hacked-together weaponry Libyan rebels have been using to fight Gaddafi&#8217;s military.</p>
<p>Scrambling to arm themselves against mercenaries and a professional army, rebels have been making use of everything they can &#8212; from using captured weapons and munitions to rigging anti-aircraft guns and aircraft rocket launchers to the backs of civilian pickup trucks.</p>
<p>You can probably expect a new Etsy category in the near future.</p>
