Sick and tired of losing or forgetting his USB key, Olivier came up with the idea of combining it with a watch that takes telling time to a whole new level.  Thinking outside the box, this novel way of telling time was first introduced in his Solaris Series watches, but has a definite learning curve, that will take some time to become accustomed to (video bellow).

An obvious fan of futuristic/sci-fi movies, Konect not only adds the functionality of having the luxury of transferring data from the watch to any device via USB ( or vice versa) at any time, but with it’s cool looks, a definite conversation piece at next office party.

Designed for Japanese company Tokyoflash, Olivier claims Konect will have similar playback functionality as the iPod Shuffle, with Bluetooth capabilities.

The stunning looking city which is expected to house 350,000 people is being built just 10 minutes away from the business parks at the Tianjin Economic-Development Area, will give occupants a choice between seven distinct sectors, ranging from a sun-powered Solarscape to a honeycomb formed Urbanscape.

Eco-City will make use of the latest sustainable technologies such as solar power, wind power, rainwater recycling, and wastewater treatment/desalination of sea water. In order to reduce the city’s carbon emissions, residents will be encouraged to use an advanced light rail system, and China has also pledged that 90 percent of traffic within the city will be public transport.

The thematic approach aims to create an affinity between residents and the ecology, fostering greater awareness in the preservation of the ecological, social and historical heritage of the site.

The city is expected to be completed by 2020.

Looking like a bike that’s going to be in the next TRON movie, the NEOS crotch rocket comes with a unique twist. Unlike most bikes, NEOS comes with a side car pod that is so well blended into the bike that you won’t even know it’s there, until you take it out.

The ergonomically green tricycle is powered by a liquid cooled 3-phase AC induction motor with a range of 260km when fully charged, which only takes about 2 hours@240v

The bike also features LED and Xenon lights as well as vehicle detection sensors, GPS, and reverse and side mirror cameras.

Rather than using conventional bike handle bars to steer, much like a video game, you get a joystick for precise manoeuvring and a wide screen vehicle projection for lane change warnings.  I am not sure how that’s going to work, but I can’t wait to find out…this thing is awesome!

No need for mirrors when you have an LED screen and rear mounted cameras

I knew this would happen sooner or later, proclaimed as the scooter of the future, BMW has finally made it mark in the scooter market.

The futuristic scooter called the Concept C was revealed at the annual Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) and it combines the conceptual coziness of a scooter and the deftness of a motorbike.

BMW Motorrad’s Concept C study (C stands for Commuter), relishes a highly sporty design, with a powerful two-cylinder engine. The Concept C uses a number of design features found on other BMW motorcycles. The front uses the “slit-face” design found on models such as the S1000RR which also inspired the Concept C’s twin-tipped front spoiler. The bash plates and air intakes however were adopted from BMW’s GS line.

As you can see, Concept C’s twin radial front disc brakes are covered by stylish blue tires and rather than using mirrors, LED monitors display video from twin rear-mounted cameras.
