So I did a search today on ‘Star Wars’ vans…and lo and behold I found this beauty for sale on eBay.

Custom built by Putsch racing, the car uses a Boeing turboshaft engine and can run on Jet A, kerosene, or diesel…It is also fully road legal.

According to the car firm’s site, the engine originally belonged to an obsolete military remote controlled helicopter before being salvaged and used on the car. It also has fully independent suspension and disc brakes, with a power to weight ratio similar to that of a Dodge Viper.

Have fun on speed bumps with that thing.

For the first time in history, a bottle of whisky has sold for over six figures, but the truth of the matter is that’s just the tip of the iceberg for one of Scotland’s most exclusive distilleries.

On Thursday, the Dalmore distillery near Inverness, Scotland made a new record by selling two of the three world’s most expensive Scotch whisky bottles, “Dalmore 64 Trinitas” for £100,000 ($160,100) each.

Mahesh Patel, an American collector, bought the first bottle and the other one went to a buyer in the U.K. Mahesh Patel said…

Whisky is my passion. I love it. I have over 1,000 bottles in my collection, and the Dalmore Trinitas is now the jewel in the crown.

In 2003 they sold a bottle of 62-year old Dalmore sold at auction for over £25k ($40,000), setting a world record. Three years later another bottle of the same went for £32k ($51,000). But even those astronomical prices pale in comparison to Dalmore’s latest.

Each bottle comes with its own display cabinet, which contains a special hidden drawer featuring the authentication documents for the whiskey and a key to a lock for the case.There is one last bottle and it is reserved for The Whiskey Show 2010 (TWS) taking place October 29-30 at The Brewery in London, England.
