But seriously, that is pretty awesome. I’m now thinking of other things that can be “condensed” and be made into furniture.

The Ferrari was only 2 weeks old and had less than 500 miles on it. Apparently, the  tag of the Ferrari says “2 VELOCE” which translated from Italian means “Too fast”, not anymore.

It is unknown what exactly happened, but the Ferrari driver said the Ford F-150 jetted out right in front of him. Who knows if the Ferrari 458 was speeding or not, but the accident happened on South Parsons Ave in Brandon, Florida.

British cell phone manufacturer Vertu has once again teamed up with Ferrari to release the ascent Ferrari GT handset. Claimed to be inspired by the high-end luxury cars, most likely one that was in a horrible accident, the Ascent is forged in titanium with a matte black PVD finish, while the hand sewn  black and red ornaments are the same type of leather used in Ferrari interiors.

As far as the specs are concerned, they are average at best, as Virtu forgot to put a Ferrari engine in the phone and opted for one out of a Tonka truck.

A 2-inch QVGA screen and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with a LED flash. There’s also 3G with HSDPA and A-GPS with navigation software and preloaded maps. The Vertu trademark high-performance 11x15mm stereo speakers are also present.

Fortunately only two thousand and eleven phones will be made and if you have to aske how much they will cost, you probably can’t afford one.

It only weights 41 pounds and has a max speed of 3.2 mph… That’s it? I thought this was a Ferrari?

The quad retails for $314.00.

$235,000 blue Ferrari Scuderia up for auction under BC Civil Forfeiture Act

Two 31 year old men learned the hard way that speeding in the Province of British Columbia, Canada can cost you….Dearly!

The B.C. government is using its new civil forfeiture law to seize a $235,000 Ferrari Scuderia and a BMW M6 valued at $75,000 after two drivers were caught street racing.

The blue 2008 Ferrari Scuderia and white 2008 BMW M6 were impounded after being stopped speeding /racing up Mount Seymour in North Vancouver on Sept. 27 — with the Ferrari narrowly missing a mother walking with her children.

Both vehicles were travelling at an estimated speed of 200 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, according to police and   each driver was banned from driving for 15 days.

“The kind of driving our member witnessed warranted a much more serious response than a ticket and temporary impoundment, and civil forfeiture allowed for that response,” said North Vancouver RCMP Supt. Tonia Enger, in statement released by the government.

New Civil Forfeiture Act was strengthened a couple year ago to give the BC government the powers they need to just what’s need to enforce the laws, those powered include forfeiture of property.
However, this isn’t the first time BC has used this evil power, in 2007 a chrome-laden 2003 Hummer H2 with Lamborghini-style hydraulic doors and a $16,000custom audio system,

and a 2002 GMC Denali with chrome spinner wheels were seized under the Civil Forfeiture Act on the basis that the vehicles were used for drug trafficking.

However, all the news is not bleak for the two drivers as the government isn’t going to keep all the money made at auction.

Fifty per cent of the proceeds of the Ferrari sale will go to a relative of the driver who was part owner of the vehicle but not involved in the incident. The driver will get 30 per cent, and the province will take the remaining 20 per cent.

Storage fees and repaying a bank debt will be paid first from the BMW proceeds. Seventy percent will go to the driver, with another 30 per cent going to the province.

So if you’re in the market for a blue Ferrari Scuderia or a white BMW M6, you know where to go.

Is somebody attempting to sell the Sultan of Brunei’s private stash of exotic cars? Thirty-three exotic cars out of a private collection are being offered for sale somewhere outside New Zealand. The lists of cars include:

• 25 Ferraris
• 3 Lamborghini V12s
• Jaguar XJ 220
• Cizeta V16
• ItalDesign Nazca V12
• 2 Porsche 911 Turbo S Lightweight

Big deal, a lot of people have 33 exotic cars sitting around in a garage right? It is possible, but only one person the Sultan of Brunei would have all these cars that are unregistered and only have delivery mileage on them.

According to the seller, these amazing vehicles were all ordered brand new from the factory and delivered to the owner who, for some unknown reason, never drove them.

Another juicy bit of information is the Sultan of Brunei had one black Cizeta and one blue Cizeta. The black one already sold and the blue one looks exactly like this one. There are only eight in the world, so the odds are pretty good it’s his. The Sultan also had an Italdesign Nazca, which is one of three for that prototype variation.

The polo-playing prince Jefri

Everything points back to the Sultan himself, but why would the head of state of an oil-rich state want to sell off such a large collection?

Perhaps the funds are for his playboy brother prince Jefri Bolkiah, who has recently been in a wee bit of trouble with the Brunei Investment Authority for losing more than $40 billion (yes billion) on bountiful spending, like on sex toys. If you remember 10 years ago, the Sultan sued his brother and 71 other people for allegedly squandering $16 billion of oil-derived state reserves.

So this wouldn’t be completely out of character for prince Jefri to be in hot water again. Jefri, known for his spending habits, has purchases over the years that included 600 properties, over 2000 cars, over 100 paintings, five boats, nine aircraft including an Airbus, rugs made of gold, and even a mega-yacht he christened ‘Tits’.

Are these actually the Sultan’s cars….if so is he selling them off to help pay off some of his brother’s debt? Only time will tell.
