A bizarre incident involving a hunter who ultimately became the hunted after a cunning fox managed to shoot him with his own gun. (huh?)

A 40-year old hunter in Belarus saw the tables turn when he shot a fox and then attempted to finish it off with the butt of his gun. The fox wasn’t having any of that, it put up a ferocious struggle and somehow managed to pull the trigger with its paw, shooting the hunter in the leg. In the melee that ensued the fox managed to make good its escape leaving the hunter to explain how he became a fox’s prey.

‘The animal fiercely resisted and in the struggle accidentally pulled the trigger with its paw,’ said a police officer called to the scene in the Grodno region of Belarus.

The hunter, who asked for his name to be withheld to save his embarrassment, was still in hospital yesterday.

I guess you could call this a perverted sort of poetic justice.
