Unfortunately the battery powered, zero emissions Superbike maxes out at a dismal 30 MPH – classifying it as a scooter.

Parker Brothers Choppers, bike shop put together 10 custom-built, street-legal Tron Light Cycle lookalikes; costing a mere $55,000, just in time for the movies the Dec. 17 premier.

The street-legal bike weighs 474 pounds and is just over 100 inches, and built for everyday use.Each of the collectors-edition bikes will consist of 22-inch x 12-inch dual hubless wheels with custom tires. A hardened steel frame supports a carbon fiber and fiberglass body, as well as a V-twin engine from a Suzuki TLR1000.

The colored LED light trail can be turned off and on with a switch. You’ll also get a Tron-style helmet, which the makers are careful to note is not DOT-approved and if you are so inclined, you can choose between actual gauges and an iPad dock that displays vital statistics on the iPad’s touchscreen..

According to Jeff Halverson of Parker Brothers Choppers, it’s not a replica or recreation since the Light Cycles in both Tron films were virtual. “We basically used the images we could get off the web in order to make the bike,” said Halverson. “Keep in mind, no one ever made this bike before.”

Unfortunately, it looks like it can only be driven in a straight line at parade-like speed.
