Sprinkles is the Beverly Hills-based cupcake shop that’s credited with adding a spare tire to my otherwise perfect figure. And it will soon make it even easier to get my miniature cake fix as well as your dogs—at all hours of the day—This automatic cupcake machine dispenses freshly baked cupcakes, cupcake mixes, apparel and even cupcakes for Fido.

But wait, there’s more… Sprinkles is also planning to open an ice cream shop in Beverly Hills, adjacent to their cupcake shop.

Sprinkles Ice Cream will also serve up freshly baked cookies and brownies!

There is nothing like a fresh cinnamon sugar and a chai latte at 2 in the morning.

Rachel Brown was forced to make 102,000 cupcakes after being swamped by customers taking up her cut-price Groupon offer.

The bakery owner offered a 75 percent discount on 12 cupcakes, which normally cost $40. Unfortunately, Brown under-estimated the popularity of the deal and was unable to cope when 8,500 people signed up for the $10 bargain.

According to the BBC, Brown’s ‘Need a Cake bakery’, which employs eight staff in Reading, U.K., had to bring in temporary workers through an employment agency to fulfil the orders, at a cost of $19,500— wiping out her profits for the whole year.

She also lost between $2.90 and $4.70 on each batch she sold.

“Without doubt, it was my worst ever business decision, my poor staff were having to slog away at all hours — one of them even came in at 3 a.m. because she couldn’t sleep for worry,” she told the newspaper. “We are still working to make up the lost money and will not be doing this again.”

I could go for a cupcake right now. Sign me up!

All the decorations are made out of fondant except for the birds’ eyebrows and feathers which were made out of black licorice wheel candy.
