I know what you’re thinking, is watching a popcorn kernel pop like watching paint dry. NO! Believe it or not it is actually pretty amazing.

The video you are about to watch was shot for a new cookbook called Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking. The exploding kernel bellow was shot at 6200 frames per second with a Phantom v12 and played back at 25fps.
