The dog world was in mourning today after the species’ ugliest member passed away. Yoda — mistaken at first by her owner for a rat — died in her sleep on Saturday. She was 15… RIP pretty girl.

Are they faces only a mother could love? They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this scruffy, glassy-eyed chihuahua named Yoda is no exception.

In the dog-eat-dog world of contests, Yoda was crowned the ‘world’s ugliest dog’ on Friday, beating a one-eyed chihuahua and a blind 15-year-old pug in the competition.

Yoda’s owner Terry Schumacher revealed that she had fled when she first saw the two-pound dog abandoned behind an apartment building, thinking that it was a rat. But on closer inspection, she realised the diminutive ball of hair and limbs was actually a dog.

The 14-year old Chinese-crested Chihuahua mix with protruding tongue and gangly legs was awarded the honour by judges in California, reports Daily Mail.

I wonder how those dogs even eat or drink if they can’t get their tongues back into their mouths.

Back in the day, before the rise of the almighty Facebook, cutting a picture of a fellow classmates head and taping onto the bottom half of a naked body would have got some laughs, maybe even a trip to the principal’s office. But they certainly wouldn’t lead to the culprits being arrested and charged.

The Lee County sheriff’s office charged Taylor Wynn, 16 and McKenzie Barker, 15, with cyberstalking after they created a Facebook page in the name of a fellow high school student and placing obscene photos on the page, including one showing their classmate’s head atop the body of a “nude prepubescent girl’s body,” according to investigators.

Next to the doctored photo, the girls added the comment “I am a member of the Itty Bitty Titty Comitty!! <3 (sic).”

Wynn told probers that a second girl, McKenzie Barker, 15, created the image showing the victim’s head atop the naked body. Wynn reportedly copped to placing a photo of an adult male’s erect penis “by the victim’s face,” while another one of the fake pages, which listed 181 friends, included an assortment of disparaging comments, including an “About Me” claim that, “As you may know, I am a huge whore. I love dick so much,” according to a sheriff’s report.

Police became involved after a sheriff assigned to the school was notified of the incident. After speaking with numerous students, he called the FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force in April.

Two weeks later, the sheriff received information that another Facebook account was created of the victim, with similar art.

While the girls claimed it was all just in good fun, the victim didn’t quite see it that way.

Even while facing charges, the alleged bullies seemed to have no regrets.

When asked by her mother, in front of police, what would possess her to do such a thing, Wynn reportedly replied, “Because nobody liked her.”

So does that make these girls sexual deviants? Are they required to register as sexual offenders? You just can’t fix STUPID.
