You just can’t make this stuff up. Folks at Argentina’s largest bazaar thought they were getting a great deal on cute little toy poodles, but you know what they say? If it sounds too good to be true…
As it turns out, these cute little poodles were in fact ferrets pumped up on steroids, or as the locals call them ‘Brazilian rats’. I know what your thinking – How stupid can you be? Well sometimes the lure of a good deal blinds you. Typically, toy poodle puppies cost upwards of $1,000 in the United States and a ferret will usually set someone back around $75.
Pouring a little more vinegar into their wounds, one man didn’t know he bought two ferrets until he took them to the vet for their vaccinations.
Imagine his surprise when his suspicious were confirmed – he had in fact purchased two ferrets that had been given steroids at birth to increase their size and then had some extra grooming to make their coats resemble a fluffy toy poodle.
