Amazing Footage of Spiders Showering the Skies of Brazil – YES SPIDERS!
Looking like the beginning of Armageddon, Erick Reis captured this amazing terrifying footage of fat, juicy, creepy spiders showering the skies of the Brazilian town of Santo Antônio da Platina.
G1 spoke with the local biologist who identified the spider as Anelosimus eximius — a “social spider” species known for its massive colonies and “sheet webs.”
They are usually in trees during the day and in the late afternoon and early evening construct a sort of sheet webs, each makes his and then they come together.
He characterized the phenomenon as “normal”… Normal? What the hell is normal about 100,000 hairy spiders falling from the sky, landing onto your head, burrowing into your ear, and then laying their eggs in your brain? It’s frickin’ freaky!
