Easily the 7 most recognizable musicians of all time, Mirco Pagano and Moreno De Turco created these CD mosaics of Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Freddie Mercury and Elvis as part of an ad campaign called ‘Piracy’.

Using 6500 CDs and working for a total of 200 hours, the art is truly amazing, but the idea behind the project is somewhat sinister as I am pretty sure none of these artists were brought ‘down’ by internet piracy.

“U.S. advertising agency TBWA promotes a campaign which shows how many of the great musical icons of the twentieth century were eventually killed because of the “virus of piracy”
