I have always feared the mighty spider, even when one is crawling on the ground 5-feet away from me… now I have to wear earplugs for the rest of my life.

In what can only be described as a terrible nightmare-come-true, a spider crawled inside a Chinese woman’s ear canal and lived there for three days before doctors could convince it to come out.

How the hell one couldn’t tell that something was living in their ear is beyond me, but after three whole days, Ms. Lee, came to the hospital complaining of an itching sensation in her ear. When the doctor took a look, in her ear, something looked back at him, a creepy, crawly arachnid.

Worried that an attempt to take the living spider out with surgical equipment would only cause it to drill its barbs deeper into her skull, the doctors decided that a few drops of saline solution into the woman’s ear would cause the itsy, bitsy spider to crawl out by itself due to the buoyancy of water
