Senegal’s Big Pink Lemonade Lake
I am not so sure any scientific explanation would get me to go swimming in this lake…but I am getting a craving for some strawberry Quick.
Lake Retba (Lac Rose) north east of Dakar in Senegal has a very high salt content, very similar to that of The Dead Sea, which provides ideal conditions for the proliferation of Dunaliella salina – micro-algae whose presence makes the water appear pink.

I already seen this lake, there's another that change colour depending on the sun in Senegal though.
