The World’s Most Stunning Sinkhole

Most notably known for swallowing up houses, cars, whole streets and occasionally the odd human…it’s difficult to contemplate a sinkhole as being a beautiful tourist attraction.  Remember the disastrous Guatemalan sinkhole?

But this particular sinkhole in Oman, is the exception.

The beautiful limestone hollow, in Bimmah consist of a concrete stairway leads to the base of picturesque green waters, which are a result of the salty sea water meeting with fresh water.

This sinkhole is about 500 meters inland and is 40 meters wide and 20 meters deep…It is also believed to connect all the way to the ocean.
