Russian Blogger walks down Moscow Street with Replica AK-74 – Guess what Happened

Try a stunt like this in the good ol’ USA and you would have a bullet in your head within minutes.

Blogger Pavel Tarasov, decided to pull a politically-loaded experiment involving a very realistic looking replica AK-74 attached around his neck and take a nice calm stroll through central Moscow.

In America an experiment like this is usually called ‘suicide by cop’, but in Russia not a single officer stopped or questioned him.

Vadim describes the experience in a report which is currently top of the Russian blogosphere.

“Not a single policeman stopped him! Not one! That was a thing both funny and scary to see,” Tsibankov writes. “If I had a white ribbon on me, I wouldn’t have walked even 10 meters. And a man promenading with a Kalashnikov is of no interest. The officers just glanced at him and looked away at once. I’m asking: what the hell do the police actually do?”

“Of course, it wasn’t a real rifle – it was a replica made by the Izhmash factory,” Tarasov told RT. “We first used it in a performance at the Communist party’s demonstration. But this replica can be told from the real weapon only when taken to pieces. So there is no way police could see it wasn’t an actual Kalashnikov.”

Conclusion: Police in Russia are more interested in rooting out political protest instead of carrying out their direct responsibilities…Not so much the fault of the police, but the people in charge of the country.
