So I was watching that show ‘My Strange Addiction’ last night, (I swear it has to be staged) which showcases people with unusual habits, people who eat couch cushions, marry dolls, ingest ashes, live with rats, remove hair from other people’s drains, live as adult babies, chew rocks and have sex with cars and eat chalk.

Well I think I may have found the reason why fuel prices are going so high… people are starting to drink it! Shannon’s shocking addiction is drinking gasoline. She often drinks it straight out of the gallon, and sometimes licks the cap.

Shannon described the gasoline as sweet and sour, like a tangy sauce. “Even though it hurts me, it makes me feel good,” She claims. “It tingles at first and then it burns the back of my throat.”

TLC approximates that she has consumed over five gallons in the last year alone.

Needless to say…. drinking gasoline can cause burns, vomiting, diarrhea and, in very large amounts, drowsiness or death,’ the New York State Department of Health writes. For those reason, ‘it is toxic’.
