Phuktal Monastery

What a great name for a monastery…home to more than 70 monks, the Phuktal Monastery is like a massive honeycomb cut into a rock under a gigantic grotto. The foundation of the monastery is made up of twigs and mud, which was laid way back in the 12th century.

Twigs and mud? Well then I guess it must be pretty stable?
