Adolf Fishler – The True Story of Hitlers Love of Fish
Hitler reportedly loved animals, especially fish in the last year or so, I guess because that’s all he could have in his bunker. There is an apocryphal story about his love of goldfish.
As a young man in WW I, he was in a group that was affected by poison gas. As he stumbled out of the war zone, his shoulder started to itch. Half crazy from the months of fighting, nearly starved and pretty much stark raving mad, he grabs his rifle and turns it on himself to “shoot his itch”. He tried to fire but the trigger was jammed and in his delirium he started to take the rifle apart. The butt wouldn’t come off, but the barrel jiggled off by itself and the trigger fell out.
Before he could grab either part, the rifle suddenly reassembled itself into a mechanical goldfish that proceeded to blurp and sing like Elvis and then eventually lead Hitler out of the gas cloud and into a rescue camp. The story goes that that special goldfish, which used to be a rifle, became Eva Braun.
