Rare ‘White’ Mutant Penguin Found

Guests on the National Geographic Journey to Antarctica expedition encountered a rare “white” mutant penguin, (leucistic penguin) waddling its way through the Aitcho Islands.

Although the “blonde” penguin, seen at the edge of one of the South Shetland Islands (map), “astonished” tourists, expert P. Dee Boersma of the University of Washington in Seattle, is convinced that the bird appears to have isabellinism…A condition which is a genetic mutation that dilutes pigment in penguins’ feathers.

This results in a “uniform lightening” of a bird’s dark colors, turning the animal a grayish yellow or pale brown.

Earth is becoming very sick now, everything is being mutated first the albino shark now the poor penguin has to adapt to climate change.
