Pepsi claims Mountain Dew turns Mice into Jelly-like Substance
This story makes me feel so much better about drinking a product that can dissolve an entire mouse into jelly in just a few short weeks, months or whatever.
A man who says he found a mouse in a can of Mountain Dew is wrong, Pepsi Co. Inc. says, arguing the soda is so corrosive the mouse would have disintegrated before he opened it.
Ronald Ball, of Illinois, is suing the soft drink giant, claiming he found a mouse in a Mountain Dew he bought and drank in 2009, madisonrecord.com reported.
But Pepsi Co., which produces the bright yellow beverage, says that’s impossible — because the acid in the soda would have caused the mouse carcass to decompose into a “jelly-like” substance.
Ball claims he sent the mouse to Pepsi, which destroyed the mouse body. He is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and other relief. Pepsi has asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed. It must answer Ball’s amended complaint by Jan. 11.
Perhaps in the future, we will dissolve all our food substances into a delicious and nutritious carbonated beverage, removing the need for a digestive tract entirely… Think about how much easier our bowel movements would be.
