Polar Care Bear for Blind and Deaf Siku

Eyes squeezed shut and pink tongue lolling out…This tiny cub named Siku — meaning ice in Greenland, has been taken into care after his mother failed to produce enough milk to feed him.

Adorable video of the incredibly cute creature shows him enjoying cuddles with one of his new adoptive parents, who is part of a dedicated team of workers at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park that provides 24-hour support for the one-month-old — who happens to be blind and deaf.

Hopefully this little guy won’t suffer the same fate that Knut, the popular polar bear that was rejected by his mother at birth and raised by zookeepers.

Knut died on March 19 in front of hundreds of visitors to Berlin zoo after collapsing and falling into the water in his enclosure. The four-year-old polar bear was suffering from encephalitis – swelling of the brain – and drowned after he fell into the pool.
