Waging War on Christmas – Ornaments go Boom
Colored sand from a garage sale go boom
With Christmas just around the corner…I am sure I saw Walmart with a tree on display. Photographer Alan Sailer, who works out of his garage, has been waging a War Against Christmas since 2008, by taking photos of Christmas ornaments caught in various states of explosive demolition.
Using a high-speed pellet rifle this war involves filling Christmas tree ornaments with various items, like colored sand, Ti02 spiked Jello, Play-Doh and tempera paint and blasting them for a bizarre, yet unique explosion of texture and color.
I never thought Christmas could be this beautiful.
