Lazy Cakes Brownies Kicked my Ass

Always a sceptic, I wasn’t expecting more than a sugar rush from Lazy Cakes Relaxation Brownies – WRONG, the damn things kicked my ass.

I had heard Lazy Cakes brownies are all the rage, and since I love desserts, why not give the brownies a shot… and boy, did the brownies shoot back.

Even thought the ingredients don’t list marijuana as the special sauce, the label says these brownies are not for kids or pregnant women.

The chocolate treats contain a “calming blend of roots and extracts” that are supposed to help you relax. Herbal relaxation aids like Valerian Root Extract, Rose Hips Extract, and Passion Flower, but the real kicker in this blend is the 3.9 mg of melatonin per serving (nearly 8 mg in one whole brownie)

Initially, I thought I was just eating a brownie that I thought would taste good — the brownies are very chewy, with a rich layer of fudge in the middle. Suddenly, a calming effect enveloped my whole body and then it went limp…I started yawning and drifting off and the next thing you know I crashed into bed and slept for a solid 10 hours – now that’s what I call relaxation.

These things taste good and they work, but we wouldn’t make a daily snack out of them…I especially wouldn’t take them to the next bake sale.
