Magic Cube – The Laser guided keyboard
Is this the future of keyboards? Although this technology has been around for a while, unlike previous versions, the Magic Cube works with Mac, as well as PC’s, but is designed to work with iPhones and iPads running iOS4.
The compact, versatile device is a multi-touch capable mouse, a laser projection keyboard and a handwriting recognition device, all in one easy-to-use product. It connects to your Mac or iOS-powered device using Bluetooth and features a battery inside to power the laser and optical recognition systems.
Unfortunately the ghost that is tactile feedback haunts the Cube. Not only will you have to look at your virtual keyboard at all times while typing, without tactile feedback, I can see my fingers drifting across the keyboard every time I look up.
Recently shown off at CES, the Magic Cube by Celluon is slated to be released early this year for $200.00
