With over 1 million YouTube hits in just days, this is one of those tricks that we do recommend you try at home…without parental supervision. This guy actually manages to suspend water in the form of the cup.

Unfortunately, they’re missing out the stage where you prepare the glass by coating it in a thin film of extra virgin olive oil using kitchen towels. Make sure you rub it in well and get complete coverage. It usually takes bout  5=10 minutes, applying 3-4 coats and waiting a minute or two after rubbing each in vigorously, it’s the oil that forms a thin micro coating over the water and holds it together and removes friction when the glass is removed.
