Finally a Robot that Folds my Stinking Laundry

Aside from the beer fetching robot, this could be the next best thing in robotics – A robot that folds your laundry.

Created by the masters of robotics at the University of California at Berkeley, this robot can fold clothes using green screen technology and a technique called, “background subtraction.” The technique removes the entire background from the robot’s vision so it only sees the clothing object needed to be folded.

Even more impressive is the fact that this little guy can distinguish between your right and left sock.

Now if we can just create a robot to dress me in the morning I’d be set.
