Blast Boxers – Keeping your groin safe from Blasts and Fragment injuries

Out of all the body parts I would hate to be blown off from an improvised explosive device, my boys top the list. Take my arms or legs, but please don’t blow off my nads.

The knitted Kevlar drawers are already available to British troops and the European public for about $95.00 (£60). Due to the fact those more powerful roadside bombs are causing a rise in the number of groin injuries, the Blast Boxers are coming to America.

The injuries include blinding and blast injuries to the groin, which can result in a ruptured colon or loss of genitalia. These injuries are “life-changing” and are extremely difficult to live with psychologically. For some, disfigurement of sexual organs is equivalent to the loss of all manly qualities.

Following trials and ballistic tests, BCB International has designed these Blast Boxers using a special comfortable Aramid fabric, positioned around crucial zones of the groin. Light open structure mesh is used on the rest of the garment to help offset the weight and thermal load of the ballistic material and best of all they include an anti-ordor material for those humid sweaty days.

“We are creating a product here for the U.S. military; everything will be made and manufactured in the United States.  We’re hoping to have them available by the middle of March, “says BCB’s Edward Schmitt.
