The most impressive DIY Star Wars Lightsaber with a Detachable Blade
Even Darth Vader would fear what undoubtedly is the best looking DIY lightsaber ever.
Taking just under 2 months to build, the Return of the Jedi lightsaber was made by Bradley Lewis and he documented his entire process, step by step over at Slothfurnace.
This is Lewis’s third attempt at making a lightsaber, and as you can see, the third time’s a charm.
Are you kidding me? The spring-loaded crystal chamber is pretty damn impressive and look how incredibly bright the detachable blade is!
I note that he mentions completing this for a customer, so I’m guessing he does this on commission. Given this one took two months to make; I’ll bet he’s going to make a pretty penny on this.
This vid shows the lightsaber with removable blade attached.
This vid shows the spring loaded chamber mechanism, and the non bladed emitter neck installed.
