A Swarm of Quadrotors unite to build a Structure
Watch how these quadrotors at UPenn’s GRASP laboratory build a structure.
It’s interesting to speculate how this technology might grow out of the lab into the real world… To build actual buildings, you might need slightly much bigger quadrotors or thousands of small quadrotors cooperating in big pieces.
They’re like angry robotic wasps! There’s going to be swarms of these things all over the cities in the future, building their nests out of discarded cardboard and plastic sheeting. They’ll attach them to the sides of office buildings, and use them as bases of operation, before swooping down to street-level in teams, and carrying away hapless pedestrians.
