The Medusa-like styling’s of the Olympus E-PL2

Looking eerily similar to the camera version of Medusa, new images of the Olympus E-PL2 has surface showing an unusual accessory, a hot shoe mount will give it two snake lights to illuminate macro subjects with shorter ranges.

The much talked about follow up to the E-PL1, is expected to boast a new 14-42mm f/3.5 – 5.6 kit lens, a ‘direct movie’ button, a high-resolution 3-inch display, and an optional Bluetooth model.

As for the cool looking adjustable LED add-on, it will not require an extra battery.

Olympus is expected to show the E-PL2 next week, but it might not ship at the same time. Lens converters for fisheye, macro and wide angle shooting are due to arrive in February or March and could be signs of when the camera in question will be in stores.
