Viva Mexico, Hacienda La Capilla Flaunts a $3.5 Million Bottle of Tequila

Claiming the exclusive international rights to the word ‘tequila’, Mexico has blessed the rest of the world with its ‘lick-sip-suck’ shot spirit.

Yesterday, Hacienda La Capilla took things to the extreme by introducing the rest of the world to what it hopes will become the world’s most expensive tequila, a platinum and diamond-studded bottle of seven-year-old liquor.

They call it the “The Diamond Sterling”and it was presented by designer Fernando Altamirano during an interview with Reuters television. The bottle, is made with 4,100 brilliant-cut diamonds and 2.380 kg of pure platinum, is valued at around $3.5 million

Altamirano hopes to break the Guinness World Record for the world’s most expensive bottle….Good luck!

Does anybody else think that the cap looks a wee bit like a piece of dung?
