The ambitious Virgin Galactic has already signed on to be the flagship provider of services out of the New Mexico spaceport and it plans to start offering daytrips into the great unknown within the next couple of years.
Trips will be offered on Virgin Galactic’s bullet-shaped spacecraft, SpaceShip Two at a cost of $200,000 for a 2.5 hour trip. According to Virgin Galactic, more than 380 customers have already made deposits totalling a whopping $50 million.
