Fatal hit and run identified after leaving behind a big clue
I have never understood the mindset of someone who hits a human being with a 4000 pound chunk of steel, then simply runs off and leaves them to die in the streets.
Kyle Peters, aged 15, was cycling home from his girlfriends place at around 9pm Tuesday when
“Somebody hit him and left him on the side of the road like a piece of garbage”, said Kyle’s brother Brandon.
The driver of the car then fled, leaving Peters bleeding, unconscious and alone on the road.
The impact ripped a large chunk off the front of the vehicle and in a bid to track the driver down, police released photos of the piece of black fibreglass, which measures 11 inches by 16 inches.
Well it worked, Peter Martens Schmitt, 18, of Harrow, has been arrested and charged with fail to remain at the scene of an accident, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death.
Police have the vehicle involved – an older model black Audi – but are refusing to release any more information.
Schmitt remains in custody and will appear in a Windsor court Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a show cause hearing.

Brandon Peters can't believe someone would be so "sick" as to leave his brother Kyle Peters, 15, on the side of County Road 34.
